A George III inlaid mahogany brass dial longcase clock The dial signed Inego Lees, Middleton The hood with swan neck pediment over freestanding fluted columns, the trunk with shaped door flanked by reeded pilasters, the base box with chequer inlay, raised on ogee bracket feet, the 14.25 inch dial with moonphase below XII and subsidiary date indication, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the centre engraved with scrolling foliage and flowers, the brass backplate with moulded foliate spandrels, the four-pillar eight day movement striking on a bell, with two weights, pendulum and door key. 60.5cm wide x 28cm deep x 230cm high
