Irish Kildare Militia Georgian Officer shoulder belt plate. Fine rare oval gilt plate incised with crowned strap over scroll KILDARE; lined shanrock to centre.Two hooks and two studs to reverse which is stamped with crowned TG in trefoil. VGC Raised circa 1780 at Naas as Kildare Militia, became 3rd Bn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers 1st July 1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
