A Japanese Meiji period bronze vase, of baluster form with applied gilt lacquer dragon, height 30 cm.
Dent to the bottom of the stem which has punctured the metal and has resulted in the loss of surface covering and gilt (see image). There is other several instances of gilt rubbing.
