A WWI Sopwith Camel 110hp Clerget engine wooden propeller, maker Morris & Company, Ltd, London. the copper tipped laminated blades with transfer label 'Morris & Company Ltd. 449 Oxford Street London', the central boss with War Department issue stamps, makers address and numbered '609' to one side and 'E1020 to the other, rating stamp to top 'D.R 710G LP 110 HP Clerget Sopwith 2 Seater' 264cm long (cut into two sections through boss) *Notes- This propeller and the following lot were acquired by the vendors father a pilot and signaller in WW2, later seconded to Bletchley Park. He was made aware of the propellers whilst stationed in Germany in 1960s by his friend and neighbour Ted Wass who was one of the original 617 Sqn Dambusters. He has kept them safe for over 60 years, as two unique and moving examples of both Aviation and World War history.
