An engraved and hand coloured historical map of ‘The Road from London to Rye’ by John Senex, early 18th century. The map was issued circa 1719 from ‘The Roads through England’ revised, improved and reduced by Senex after John Ogilby's 1675 ‘Britannia’ publication. The front illustrates ‘The Road from London to Rye in Kent’ and the reverse ‘The Road from London to Barnstable in Devonshire’. Framed. Glazed glass front/clear plastic reverse. 18 cm x 23 cm.
Condition report: Good condition. Light wear with age with minimal fading and creasing.
