£50 - £100
Two albums containing approximately 90 world banknotes, but also a few British notes, cheques a 1910 share certificate for the Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Company (1st photo) and a 1938 Chinese Government fractional scrip dividend for one-third funding of an £11 10 shilling bond on behalf of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (2nd photo). The UK notes comprise Somerset and Page £1s (which both have a central fold crease), Hollom and O’Brien £5s and an O’Brien green £1 – the latter 3 all in collectable grades, although there are still minor creases. There is a poor quality copy of a white £5 note (lease note this is a copy not an original counterfeit) and a 1948 George VI Hong Kong $1. The world notes include inflationary paper currency from Germany in 1910 and other years, a 1902 Austrian note, two 1944 French notes for 2 and 5 francs, a Ugandan 10sh note, an Eastern Caribbean Central $1 dollar, an East African 5 shilling note, a 1943 Italian 5 lire, a 1965 Spanish 10 pesetas, Belize $1 and a 1974 Canadian $2 featuring Queen Elizabeth. The condition of the world notes range from mint to tatty.
