A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4742, 1921, from a LNER N2 Class 0-6-2T No 4742 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 22598, in February 1921, renumbered 9521 in 1946, becoming BR 69521. Allocated new to Kings Cross where it spent all its working life until moving in July 1959 to New England from where it was withdrawn in June 1961 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: C)
