A WWI MEMORIAL DEATH PLAQUE AND SCROLL PLUS BADGES, to include a memorial plaque named to Francis William Glissold, please note that there was an error on the plaque when it was named and the surname should read Clissold, the scroll which comes in its original tub and is correctly named to Francis William Clissold, also in the tube are two kings slips that are rolled up, Francis was born in Birmingham around 1876 and lived in Edgbaston in 1911, he worked as a silver polisher, he was serving with the Border Regiment and arrived in Gallipoli on 11th August 1915, he died of his wounds on 30th August 1915, he is commemorated on the Helles memorial, also included is a Canadian and Australian badge, two sweetheart badges, border regiment badge without lugs, R.E shoulder title, small brass plane, a ring and a miniature pair of boots worn as a lucky charm, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
