A bent-side spinet attributed to Joseph Mann Sven, England, 1768, the mahogany case with holly stringing, the lid with shaped brass strap hinges, the five-octave keyboard, GG to e3, with arcaded ivory naturals and ebony accidentals, on later trestle stand with square reeded legs. Inscribed Joseph Mann Sven fecit 1768 on a boxwood plaque on the name baton, length 182.5cm
