Sportsmen, Actors, etc., A group of six pencil caricatures of various sportsmen, actors, etc., circa late 1930s, each signed by the illustrated individual, including Robert Taylor, Len Harvey, Gordon Richards, Esther Williams, Frank Randle, Joseph P. Kennedy, largest sheet size 15cm x 23cm approx., together with a few unsigned caricatures and other autographs. These was drawn by James Hodson when he was a young teenager in the late 1930s. He would draw various caricatures of celebrities and politicians, then send them in the hope of getting the subject to sign and return the caricature. He was obviously a very talented young artist which many celebrities of the day were happy to oblige his request of a signature.
