A Victorian kingwood bureau in the form of a Louis XV bureau en pente, c1850, with gilt brass mounts and matched veneers with lozenge parquetry to the flap, having five oval porcelain plaques painted with a girl, putti or flowers reserved on a bleu celeste ground, the stepped serpentine fitted interior with well, Chubb & Son brass lock to the flap No 271590, 100cm h; 49 x 100cm
Complete and in good original condition with minor veneer cracks and generally small losses to the veneer and short lengths of the beading but all the principle mounts present, the porcelain plaques original and undamaged
