A SECOND WORLD WAR AND POST WAR GROUP OF THREE TO THE DORSETS.
A group of three comprising War and Defence medals unnamed as issued and a General Service Medal 1918-62 with Palestine clasp named to 5723509 Pte W. Croucher. Dorset R. Private (Bandsman) Croucher was awarded his Palestine clasp on the 1st May 1940. He was later promoted to Acting then full Corporal, on the 21st of June he is reported as missing whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion in France. He was held at Stalag 383, Hohen Fels with POW number 9482. The medals unmounted in original envelopes with ribbons and with unmarked award slip.
