A fine and impressive sapphire and diamond cluster ring, collet set to the centre with a mixed faceted cushion-cut sapphire, of cornflower blue colour, (possibly a Ceylon sapphire), showing colour zoning, fingerprint and crystal inclusions throughout, sapphire approx. 10.00 carats total, with a surround of eighteen milgrain set brilliant-cut diamonds, diamonds approx. 1.80 carats total, tapered shoulders with detailing to a plain shank, French mark to outside of shank, size N, 10.3grams; accompanied by its original blue leather and velvet lined box, imprinted with indistinct jeweller's name and 'Montpellier, Nice - Vichy'.
