Two albums of albumen photographic views of Japan and Ceylon, c.1891-92, many colour tinted, most of the views titled within the image or hand inscribed in ink, the first album with Japanese ivory and bone mounted gilt decorated lacquer boards depicting Raiden the God of Thunder, 32 x 40cm, with forty views or portraits of Japan, each image 20 x 25.5cm, the second in Morocco leather, 28 x 38.5cm, with fifty three views of Japan (including nine views of the disastrous effects of the great earthquake in Nagoya, Gifu and Ogaki, Japan October 28, 1891), 20.5 x 26.5cm or 21 x 27cm, and fifteen views of Ceylon supplied by Scowen & Co., 21.5 x 28cm.
