A SMALL CHINESE DOUCAI PORCELAIN WINE CUP, KANGXI MARK. Finely potted, decorated to the exterior with lotus pond in enamels with further inscription and square mark reading 'to cherish' in underglaze blue. Six character mark of Kangxi in double ring to base. 6.3cm diam. On a later wooden display stand.

Slight glaze fault to rim with small nick to foot rim with no signs of cracks or repairs. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.
