A rare Caughley porcelain 'Thorny Rose' mask-head jug, circa 1775-79, transfer-printed in underglaze blue, of baluster form on a raised pedestal foot, the unglazed base marked 'S', 17cm high (hairlines) Condition:There is a firing crack around the upper terminus of the handle which has extended into a slight hairline (most visible to the interior). There is one further hairline to the lower section of the mask-head's beard.
