A boxed 18ct Gold Brooch in the form of a pole with three enamel pennants, stamped 'Benzie Cowes', inscribed in the box 'By Kathleen Constance Hunt (nee Dykes) wife of Cecil Hunt, Campeador colours given to me by Nancy Muir to go with the book, along with 'The Gallant Little Campeador by Cecil Hunt'.. * At the outbreak of war the luxury motor yacht Campeador was offered to the Admiralty for patrol work and the owner volunteered along with two other members of the Royal Dart Yacht Club to help crew the yacht. On 23/02/1940 vessel was requisitioned for war service on harbour patrol duties at hire rate £60.0.0d per month. On June 22nd, 1940, the Campeador was sunk by a magnetic mine and foundered, sadly 20 people lost their lives and only two crew were picked up. Nancy Muir was the wife of Lieutenant John Reid Muir, Commander of HMY Campeador, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, one of those lost at sea on 22/06/1940..
