WEST AFRICA AIRMAILS - THE UNIQUE KHARTOUM TO KANO SURVEY FLIGHT COVER: 1936 env. from Kano to Calcutta flown on a single survey flight for the Nigeria feeder service. At Kano the cover was handed unstamped by the writer R.S.Warner, a Nigerian Government official to the pilot, Capt. O.P. Jones who carried it to Khartoum via El Obeid, El Fasher, Geneina, Abecher, Ati, Fort Lamy and Maiduguri. At Khartoum the cover was stamped and forwarded via the regular Imperial Airways flight to Alexandria and Calcutta to Mr Warners brother serving in India. Ex Colin McCaig. (Priddy p.67).
