F K McClean 1912' , subject size 19 x 24cm. *Notes In 1912 Daredevil pilot Frank McClean (1876-1955) flew his Short S.33 hydroplane between the upper walkway and the road of Tower Bridge, filled with confidence he then flew up stream under the remaining bridges as far as Westminster, his luck ran out when on the return trip a sidewind dipped him into the Thames as he attempted to fly under the road section of Tower Bridge.
