Provenance: acquired by the vendor's father, an American soldier during World War II. He served with the 42nd Infantry Army 'Rainbow' Division. At the end of the war his Unit was located near Hitler's Eagle's Nest and the owner believes he acquired this cutlery as a result of a 'craps' game.
He brought the pieces home after the war and they remained in the family ever since
