A Chinese wucai ‘pomegranate’ baluster vase, Transitional, Shunzhi period, c.1650, painted with pomegranate and fruiting branches, between underglaze blue lines, unglazed base, 29cm high, wood stand, small star crack

This design bears similarities to transitional wucai vases decorated with the sanduo (Three Abundances).

More Information

There is a small star crack at the shoulder visible on the interior and very slightly on the exterior, some wear and scratching to the enamel and glaze, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or chips detected.
