EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK ROBE. A 3/4 length red silk robe heavily embroidered with flowers, butterflies and other motifs, the hem embroidered with rocky outcrops and waves and with yellow silk sleeves. With metal fasteners and a silk interior, faded. 109cms high. *CR Sadly the robe has faded over time, with the red robe now mostly orange in colour with patches of the original red in places, the yellow sleeves are also faded. Collar and edges with some wear in places and some loose threads, a few marks in places.
