A 1796 pattern Heavy Cavalry trooper’s sword, blade 33” (slightly shortened, the tip rounded), with traces of inspector’s mark and government sale mark, the hilt with one side of the disc guard and langets removed, and with no “ears” extending from the back strap over the leather covered grip. Basically GC (worn, with light pitting overall). £150-250
