Cygnus - Italy / Holland. 1937 (Nov 27) Registered cover from Calcutta to Amsterdam franked 3a, other stamps missing, reverse with two typed explanatory labels (in black and blue) "Lettre mouillee pour accident / de l'ydravion du 5 decembre" tied by Brindisi datestamps (Dec 11), with a Rotterdam c.d.s and Dutch Officially Sealed label. Also a piece cut from a parcel or packet with similarly worded handwritten label tied by a Brindisi c.d.s, New York and San Francisco arrival datestamps. Two rare Italian labels, both unrecorded by Nierinck. (2).
