A pair of early Worcester gilt and polychrome enamel decorated porcelain plates, late 18th century. George III period. Both with lobed edges and painted white panels depicting insects and exotic birds in a naturalistic setting against a powder blue ground. Square marks in underglaze blue beneath. (2 items) 7.7 in (19.5 cm) diameter.
Condition report: Enamels and gilding in good condition with only very slight wear visible. One plate with a faint hairline and signs of professional restoration to the underside.
