*Gladys Marguerite Baker (British, 1889-1959) - Portrait of Sarah Jane Baker née Rudman (the artist's mother) - Oil on canvas - 60 x 29cm - 73 x 44cm framed - Signed lower right - Inscribed to the verso - Provenance: By descent in the artist's family - Baker was a London painter specialising in portraiture. She trained at Queen's College, St John's Wood Art School and Royal Academy Schools, where she won a silver medal for a composition in colour in December 1914.
