A Victorian Aesthetic Movement ebonised architectural mantel clock, probably designed by Lewis Foreman Day, the 8-day chiming movement marked G.V. no. 44039, with Elourdelet lever, with figure and foliage decorated blue and white porcelain panels and dial, a Victorian metal lozenge dated 11th February 1878 and depots no. 44039, retailed by John Mortlop & Company Oxford Street, case height 56cm

Good overall original condition, no obvious repair, the top central panel is cracked all the way through, the wooden part of the dial is cracked and several other cracks through the wooden mounts which are clearly visible, general wear, complete with pendulum. No key, so cannot wind on properly, but appears quite heavily wound. Perhaps over-wound.
D - 20cm, W - 28cm, H - 56cm.
