A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE TYNESDIE SCOTTISH. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 47154 Cpl J.NB. Walton North'D Fus. John Banks Walton was the son of John and Margaret Walton and husband to Martha Davies of 2, Baywood Street, Harpurhey, Manchester. He served with 22nd (Tyneside Scottish) Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers, he was killed in action on the 26th March 1918, and is buried at Rumaucourt Communal Cemetery, his headstone reads 'Their glory shall not be blotted out', he was 31 years old. With a Manchester Church music society badge. Sold with copied research. *CR Usual light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
