Footnote: Joseph Terry & Sons Ltd (incorporated 1895), confectioners in York, were most famous for Terry's Chocolate Orange which launched 1932. The company continued to be run by the family until 1963. Several acquisitions then occurred before Kraft General Foods took over, merging with Jacobs Suchard to create Terry's Suchard in 1993. The last company factory in York closed in 2005.
