An early George III tortoiseshell and gilt metal pair cased pocket watch, by William Ordson, London, 4cm enamel dial inscribed with Roman and subsidiary Arabic numerals, the verge fusee movement signed and numbered 6049, the outer case with bands of steel pinwork pique, 6.5cm over loop, c.1765
Tortoise shell case with some losses, cracks, general surface wear, closes neatly. Watch with surface wear and tear scratches and scuffs as befits age and use. Bamfords cannot guarantee full working order, however it will tick a little wildly if gently shaken. No keys.
