Travel Poster Aeroflot Airlines Annunciation Cathedral Moscow Kremlin. Original vintage travel poster celebrating the 500 year anniversary of the Annunciation Cathedral featuring a winter photograph of the traditional Russian Orthodox church surrounded by fir and silver birch trees with snow on the ground and on its nine golden domes shining in the sun against the blue sky with the stylised text on a decorative frame below: 1489-1989 500 Years to the Annunciation Cathedral, an outstanding historical and architectural monument of the Moscow Kremlin. The gilded three domed Cathedral of the Annunciation was built from 1484-1489 as part of a renovation of the Moscow Kremlin (built from 1482-1895) in Russia as the church for the Tsars with additional domes added in 1564 when the church was restored; the church now forms part of the Moscow Kremlin Museums complex.
