A vintage 'British Coal Mining Company Wales UK', brass and steel safety paraffin oil lamp with hanging hook atop. The brass name plate stamped "Thomas & Williams Ltd, Cambrian, No.127223". Miners safety lamps were traditionally used to provide illumination in coal mines and were designed with an enclosed flame to operate in areas which may contain coal dust or gases. Unused - as new and boxed. Measures 26cm (height).
