Pages 11 – 16 Captain Charles Thomas presents a speech and paper 'On the Desirability of Establishing a Mining School', this was based on a letter he sent to the Cornwall Gazette in the year 1855 after a meeting in Truro in the same year with other mine captains, two good copies.
