English 18th century gilt metal and tortoiseshell verge pair cased pocket watch, the fusee movement signed R. Thompson, London, no. 3770, with pierced engraved balance cock, steel three arm balance, silvered regulating disc and square baluster pillars, the enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute track and outer Arabic five minute divisions, beetle and poker hands, plain inner case and tortoiseshell outer case with pinwork decoration, 49mm (in need of attention)

Movement - briefly ticking but stops after a short time - requires attention/repair.
Dial - some surface marks.
Glass - light surface marks.
Hands - mild surface corrosion.
Case - inner case with rubbing and surface marks, stem and bow a replacement with visible solder to the inside of the case, outer case with cracks and loss to the tortoiseshell, loss to some of the pinwork also.
