Italian Fascist Youth (GIL) leader's dagger, with accessories,

Pommel grip and crosspiece are one piece of bright white metal, the pommel features the head of an eagle. Recessed within both sides of the grip is a rectangle of black plastic, the left side of which features the Fascist Italian symbol in gilt metal, fixed by a screw. The quillion gently curves backwards away from the blade. The blade is spear pointed, one side tapering more sharply than the other. There is a false edge for half the length of the blade. The blade is unfullered. The scabbard is black painted metal and tapers towards the end where there is a gilt metal fixing which features a balled finial. The opening is framed by a further gilt metal fixing, fixed in place by two screws and forming a small lip. Just beneath the opening and further down the scabbard are two further gilt metal features from which hangs a double ended leather strap secured by gilt clasps. At the end of the leather strap is a large spring clip, which features an eagle, below this, a gilt metal capital "M".
The blade and scabbard both appear unmarked.
