Obverse: king riding left with bow-shaped sash behind, rose mintmark, 'CAROLVS: D: G: MAG: BRI: FRA: ET: HIB: REX:' around. Reverse: garnished oval shield of royal arms with a rose mintmark above and the date in the legend to the left, 'CHRISTO · AVSPICE · REGNO 1644' around. Weight: 28.38g. Diameter: 44mm. Grade: F - a mid-grey tone, edge slightly flattened, the central horse area a little flat, Fine, reverse better. Comes with an old clipping from a list.
