A 17TH CENTURY CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN GINGER JAR AND COVER Kangxi, painted with stylised phoenix birds, under a banding of foliage and precious objects, upon a ribbed body. 17 cm x 8 cm. Note: The Kangxi period (1662-1722) was one of the most productive periods of Chinese ceramics. The Emperor Kangxi was the fourth emperor of the Qing dynasty and he ruled for the longest period of time of any Chinese emperor.
