5 inch gauge Santa Fe 997 EMD SD60 style Diesel Locomotive in Good condition
From the Rob Denton collection (Reading)
Dual Battery operated model of a North American style locomotive, finished in Orange and Silver livery with Yellow lining with Number 997 and ‘Santa Fe’ branding. 1.4m in length. Two large motors fitted to each bogie. Steel chassis with metal body shell. Two 12v batteries, Sound unit, Speaker, Dual Air-horn and lights. Very Good paintwork, few scratches where top cover secures to body.
Label within suggests built circa 1995 to the designs of Frederick.F.Few a notable British model engineer, known for his contributions to the field of small-scale engineering and model-making. Subsequent information suggests the loco was also built by 'Freddie Few' as a back-up loco for St.Albans Model Engineering group. (not verified)

Rob Denton was a member of the Reading Society of Model Engineers, regularly showing his large scale locomotives across the country to the delight of young and old. Rob had an eye for detail which was reflected in the detailing of his models.
