CHILE - SCARCE CENSORED COVER, ETC. inc. 25 Jan. 1941 env. from Bournemouth to Chile bearing 6d pair & 2/6d brown paying the 3/6d per oz rate. The cover also bears a overlapping censor label with blue crayon St Andrew's Cross indicating the cover was referred to a senior censor and mostly condemned, however forwarded examples like this are rare. 8 April 1942 env. censored and registered cover from Liverpool to Santiago bearing 3d, 1/- (2) and 5/- paying the ½oz double rate. 1 Mar. 1944 a censored unusual forwarded re-addressed env. from Nakuru, Tanganyika to London bearing Uganda 30c & 1/- forwarded to Chile with 1/- & 2/6d green. 1953 8½d grey registered env. from London to Santiago bearing a fine festival 2/6d, a scarce use.
