A GROUP OF 19TH AND EARLY 20TH CENTURY CERAMIC CATS AND DOGS, comprising a late 19th century bisque vesta holder / striker 'A Safe Messenger', height 9cm, a Staffordshire seated curly coated spaniel with two free standing front legs (chipped to the front of base and spots of glaze missing to head and back), a pair of seated grey glazed cats with green glass eyes, reg no. 523391, height 31cm and a pair of seated terriers with brown glass eyes and protruding tongue, height 33cm, left hand dog has glued in chip to bottom edge below tail, the right hand has a crack down the back (6) (Condition Report: damage mentioned in the description, wear to gilding)
