BWM & Mercantile Marine Medal (Wallace T. Chambers). Born Stroud. Died at Sea 19/3/1917 SS Alnwick Castle (London). On the Tower Hill Memorial. With an original letter sent to his wife 17th Sept 1917 who was enquiring after her missing husband, on RMS Carisbrook Castle headed paper. Chambers is listed on the Roll of Honour in the book 'The Union-Castle and the War 1914-1919'. Letter hand written and signed by Sir Benjamin Chave
