Andrew LANYON (1947) 'Rabelais tumbles the perilously built edifice of language by chewing on its constructs and grinding poisonous ideas to rubble with the solid pebbles of ribaldry in his mouth.', 2015 Pencil, crayon and collage, signed, titled and dated to verso, 14 x 10cm (framed size 30 x 25cm) This work is illustrated on page 195 of Andrew Lanyon's new book 'Rabelais and Cervantes on the Road to Cornwall', a signed pre-publication hardback copy, of which there are only 10, is included in the sale of this lot. The book will be officially launched at The Morrab Library, Penzance, on Saturday the 23rd of September, where there will be 150 softback copies available, booking essential.
