Victorian Volunteer Engineers Staff Officers cocked hat. A good clean example of black beaver by Thornley of Bath and Bristol. To the left side a black silk rosette with a loop of silver regimental pattern lace secured with a silvered regimental button. Ornamented with black lace of oak leaf and acorn design. Both bullion tassels present but detached. The interior retains material sweatband and crimson silk pleated lining, with tailors label. Some wear GC. Housed in the original metal storage tin, again with Thornley of Bath details.. PLEASE NOTE no feather plume
