An early Worcester gilt and polychrome enamel decorated porcelain teacup and saucer, 18th century. George III period.
Of circular fluted form, the alternating panels painted with floral bouquets against a white ground and flower sprays in shaped reserves against a blue ground. Square marks in underglaze blue beneath. Saucer: 4.8 in (12.3 cm) diameter.
Condition report: Some very light surface wear with age. Two very small chips to underside edge of bowl. Provenance: From the ‘Rous Lench Collection No. 392 Worcester’. Please see additional images.
