WW1 RFC / RAF Pilots British War Medal. Awarded to LIEUT J.A. JAMIESON RAF. Lieutenant John Andrew Jamieson was commissioned into the 4th Bn Loyal North Lancashire Regiment before transferring to the RFC. Qualifying as a Pilot he was posted to 63 Squadron flying the RE8 aircraft in Egypt. On the 18th September 1917 he crashed his aircraft. He survived and was transferred to the RAF Unemployment list on the 20th August 1919.
