Napoleonic War Period Irish Glendermot Infantry Volunteers Sergeant Coatee. An extremely rare and important example Circa 1800 Scarlet cloth with Royal blue facings to the collar and cuffs. Tailored with white tasselled wings to the shoulders and retaining 13 pewter regimental buttons. These depicting the crowned Maid of Erin with regimental title Glendermot Infantry. The scarlet with age dulling no evidence of moth damage. Large number of buttons have been removed and now absent. Gordon Cummings Collection.
