Property of a gentleman - maritime or nautical interest - an early Victorian cedarwood occasional table, the well figured rectangular top on octagonal column & trefoil base, with old printed label to base 'MADE FROM THE COLUMBINE, WRECKED ON PORTLAND BEACH, Nov. 28, 1838.........PRESENT FROM WEYMOUTH', 17.5ins. (44.5cms.) wide. Footnote - 'Columbine' was a schooner which is recorded as being wrecked at Wyke off Portland, Dorset on 29th November 1838, with the loss of all 18 on board.
