Lucknow Chutney jar, inscribed in Sanskrit and with a mystical beast and chutney merchant, height 12cm; also a Sales, Pollard & Co. stoneware snuff jar, height 15cm (2)
The snuff bottle has stained craquelure to the glaze over 50% of the body where it is has clearly been partially buried. Minor scratches elsewhere consistent with age. No chips or cracks found.
The chutney jar has a very small hair crack to the rim. There is some discolouration beneath the glaze to the body. Minor scuffs.
