** THE 7 YEARS WAR - GOBBÉ CORRESPONDENCE - TOPSHAM (DEVON) P.O.W. CAMP COVER TO FRANCE; Fine 26 Mar. 1759 EL (full typed transcript) from "Gobbe" in "La Prison de Tapson [= Topsham] proche Exceterre" to his father in Redon noting that this was the 32nd letter that he had sent during his 32 months of captivity without receiving any reply. It would have been sent by the Camp authorities by a special cartel vessel (from Exmouth?) to "S.MALO" (very fine s. line on the front) with "4" charge.
