1914 Star trio with date bar, WW2 Defence Medal and KGVI Special Constabulary Long Service Medal to Payr S. Lt G.H.M. Thompson R.N.V.R. (SX/5255 A.B. R.N.V.R. Howe Bttn R.N.D. on Star, Guy H.W. Thompson on Constabulary) very fine and better, mounted in a frame (no glass) with Howe cap badge and Birkenhead Special Constable enamel badge.
With 4 copied pages of records, Guy Henry Martyn Thompson was born 5/7/94, attested 13/6/12, joined Howe Bn 22/8/14, involved in operations around Antwerp, record card reports POW in Germany after Antwerp operations but scored out, admitted hospital Gallipoli 26/7/15, rejoined unit 27/7/15, invalided to Mudros 24/11/15 T.B. Lung, arrived Haslar Hosp 4/12/15, discharged from Howe Bn suffering functional heart disease attributable to service 22/3/16, appointed Ty Payr Lt 7/7/17 (Shore service only), his officer's card states he has twice suffered from shell shock, post dated demobilisation 1919.
